Branding Your Wedding Look
Monday, 7 December 2009 11:57 am byYour branded look… define it with design.
Yay! You’re getting married! Want guests to remember this wedding that you’re pouring your heart and soul into? Brand it with a look that is uniquely yours! A branded wedding look is an impression and an experience for your guests. Your signature style will be immediately recognizable because of your wedding brand! How? through color, design, typeface, wording~ that special sumthin that makes you guys unique.
From the moment your guests receive their Invitations {or their Save the Dates} you are communicating to them… tone, formality and your wedding style. Take it further and really make your wedding memorable by integrating elements from your seasonal, destination or themed wedding. Maybe you love the beach, vintage, damask, birds, florals, gourmet cooking, motorcycles, ice climbing, music, old movies… Incorporate a design flourish, logo, motif or monogram that contributes to your personal style and then carry this design treatment and colors all across your wedding~ from your wedding website, to each piece of your wedding stationery to your attire and decor. Beauty is in the details delight and surprise guests at each turn. Leave traces of your branding efforts everywhere… from the Programs to the Cake Topper, to the Table Settings, Favors and Thank Yous! As if dropping breadcrumbs, lead your guests down a path of personalized design. The result… a signature look that is cohesive, consistent and memorable!

The key: keep it subtle. No need to hit your guests over their heads with a forced and heavy look. Keep the design elements consistent but subtle. Generally speaking, more than 3-4 colors in your palette and more than 2 fonts can get confusing and even overwhelming. When you introduce too many colors and elements, you run the risk of losing that cohesive look and feel.
Have FUN branding your wedding! Revel in your inner creative. Branding definitely takes a bit of consideration but it will be well worth all your efforts and your pride will swell when guests shower you with compliments because of how fabulous your wedding look is! How are you branding your wedding?

We’ve decided to go with jewel tones that would match a peacock theme! So far we have bridesmaids dresses in teal and peacock feathers…not sure what to do with it yet but have some to play with!

Nalie…. just reading your idea gives me so many ideas. 1. Peacock feather pen at the sign in book. 2. infuse the peaock feathers into yours or all the bouquets 3. alternating center peices each table fused with one of the jewel tones. oh i could go on and on. anyway…
